At-Home Learning Days

 Dear JCCS Parents and Guardians,

Given our inclement weather patterns, we will move forward with planned At-Home Learning Days scheduled throughout the remainder of the year. On these days, all students will learn from home by completing assignments at their own pace.

Teachers will provide the assignments prior to the At-Home Learning Days. Learning will be asynchronous, meaning students will not have live sessions but rather assignments to complete at home.

The dates are as follows:

Thursday, February 13, 2025

Monday, March 17, 2025

On all At-Home Learning Days:

  • Students will complete assignments given by their teacher(s).  Jasper County Primary and Washington Park students will be given a one page list of activities focused on literacy and math activities.  These activities will be fun and engaging.  Middle and high school students will work in their Google classrooms to complete their assigned assignments.
  • Students can complete the assignment at any time during the day; they do not have to be logged in during regular class hours.
  • A device is  required for middle and high school students during the At-Home Learning Days.
  • PreK Students will complete paper assignments for the first At-Home Learning Day, but must participate in virtual instruction on other dates as required by Bright from the Start.
  • Students in the Jasper County Virtual Program will continue to work on their assignments in the appropriate platform.
  • Attendance will be taken at any time during the day.  Please use the QR Code below to log your attendance and be counted present for the day.

Sincerely,

Kenny Garland

Superintendent

JCHS Alma Mater

Alma Mater; deign to hear,
Bend to us a listening ear,
As we sing our hymn of praise,
In respect our voices raise.
Long may all thy works abound,
Where we inspiration found,
Great and lasting be thy fame,
Honored ever by thy name.
As the distant years go by,
For thy shelter we shall sigh,
Naught shall dim our loyalty,
Alma Mater, Hail to Thee.
