Jasper County High School Opens Nominations for 2026–2027 School Governance Team
Jasper County High School (JCHS) has officially opened nominations for its 2026–2027 School Governance Team (SGT), inviting parents, guardians, and local business leaders to take an active role in shaping the school’s future.
JCHS is currently seeking:
- Two parents or guardians of students enrolled at the school (excluding those who are also employees of JCHS), and
- At least two representatives from the local business community whose businesses are located within Jasper County.
Nomination forms will be shared through the school website, available at the front desk of JCHS, and distributed via JCHS social media platforms.
Nominations will be accepted through April 17, 2026, with the voting period scheduled from May 4 through May 15, 2026.
The School Governance Team plays a vital role in supporting the success and direction of Jasper County High School. Members of the SGT collaborate with school leadership and stakeholders to ensure that decisions align with the needs of students and the broader community.
Key responsibilities of the School Governance Team include:
- Sharing in school decision-making
- Acting as ambassadors for the school
- Providing input on the school’s budget
- Offering guidance on personnel decisions and resource allocations
- Participating in the principal selection process
- Providing feedback on the school improvement process
- Evaluating progress on the school improvement plan
- Recommending waivers to enhance flexibility
- Offering input into school operations
JCHS encourages all eligible parents, guardians, and business leaders to consider submitting a nomination and contributing their voice to the continued growth and success of the school.

All meetings begin at 5:00pm and take place in the high school main office conference room.
